DC Shorts Laughs: A hilarious and eclectic combination of DC Shorts Film Festival's best comedies and Riot Act comedians
Laugh away the winter blues with DC Shorts Laughs -- showcases of DC Shorts's top laugh-out-loud comedies and Riot Act comedians.  Each 2-hour showcase features 6-8 films and 3 stand-up routines.  See one -- or all -- 5 different showtimes to experience the 38 short films and 10 hilarious comics over two days.

The first meeting of the Staunton chapter of the Virginia Production Alliance (VPA) is on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at the Mockingbird restaurant in downtown Staunton from around 6.00 to 8.00.

Attendees include Kahil Dotay, President of the VPA; Mary Nelson, Communications Manager with the Virginia Film Office (VFO); and Erica Arvold, Chair of the Charlottesville Chapter of the VPA, and Anne Chapman, events chair and past president.

The meeting will take place in the Music Room of the beautiful Mockingbird restaurant; fine food and drink are available, and the meeting will provide information about the many ways the VPA and VFO are working to bring film production-related opportunities to the Commonwealth’s creative communities.
