WHY JOIN THE VIRGINIA PRODUCTION ALLIANCE?

Membership in the VPA shows our legislators that Virginia has a robust and prolific film and video community, and that we represent a forceful voice when it comes to matters involving film incentives and economic development. It shows film and video production companies that Virginia has a deep and diverse pool of talent and crew available for their next project, giving them every reason to bring their next production to the Commonwealth. Lastly, membership shows that the film and video community is a collaborative group of professionals who stand ready to share information and resources, and support their fellow colleagues in their creative endeavors.

Membership dues help the Alliance to work on your behalf, not only when it comes to legislative issues and attracting new production, but in providing valuable services that contribute to the vibrancy of the industry. The Alliance is committed to working with the General Assembly to make Virginia more competitive in attracting production, and is equally committed to providing opportunities for local industry professionals to network with peers at VPA-sponsored events, parties, seminars, and workshops.

With membership, the Virginia Production Alliance provides a range of resources and services to you, including:

• Seminars and workshops
• Networking opportunities
• Admission to VPA events free or at a reduced cost
• Personal notification of screenings and events
• VPA listserve
• Informational website, including latest updates on Facebook and Twitter and featured video content at the VPA YouTube.com channel
• Access to in-person and/or virtual VPA Chapters (Hampton Roads, Central Virginia, Roanoke, and Northern Virginia)

The VPA welcomes corporate members. Companies that join receive:

• Three individual memberships
• Promotion and link to the business from the VPA website
• Acknowledgement on the VPA listserve
